NIST on mobile telephone forensics

NIST on mobile telephone forensics

The US National Institute of Standards and Technology has recently published

Guidelines on Cell Phone Forensics
http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/nistpubs/#sp800-101

Cell Phone Forensic Tools

Firstly, a note to say thanks to NIST for mentioning my work in their reports. NISTs two leading technology workaholics are Wayne Jensen and Rick Ayers. Given the speed of uptake of mobile telephone forensics that has occurred in the States, the quality in the production of output by both these guys in dealing with the subject matter in the time allotted to them is amazing. Well done Wayne and Rick.

I have also noted trewmte.blogspot having received favourable comments from other sites as well.

Professor Rick Mislan famed for his work at Purdue University on his website at Smartphoneforensics gave very pleasant praise about me - thanks Rick. I am immodest enough to provide the link below :-)

Also, the world renown website for E-Evidence www.e-evidence.info also gave good praise for trewmte.blogspot. Once again, thanks.

I am currently looking at the Stats for trewmte.blogspot and I can see since 13th November 2006 (when the blog first started) upto 15th June 2007 there has been 13336 hits on this blogspot from all over the world. When you think of the relatively short period trewmte.blogspot has been published (this is my first attempt at having a web presence) and the vast number of websites and bloggers out there, the hit figures suggest to me the incredible resource which the Internet provides for so many people.
